Pennsy Corporation

John Rudibaugh founded Pennsy Corporation with over 20 years of experience in the railroad industry. John's focus and passion is driven by his understanding of the railroad industry's need for freight cars that performed better and lasted longer. Today, he still serves as Pennsy's President and CEO.

Working with some of the leading polymer manufacturers like DuPont and UniRoyal, John established Pennsy as a leading developer of engineering solutions using new polymer technologies in conjunction with cast and forged metals.

Pennsy's early work focused on freight car stability to improve the transport of sensitive lading. Much of this work was undertaken in collaboration with a leading railcar automobile transporter. A spin-off from the original design work resulted in the development of the AdapterPlus technology in early 1990's.

Pennsy led the railroad industry to consider, test and deploy a split wedge vertical damping system which is now used by all major railroads in North America.
